Brought my vehicle in to address an emissions compliance related issue and they claimed that my engine head gaskets had also failed which requires the complete replacement of the engine. Retrieved my vehicle and took it to Land Rover Denver where their technician performed the exact same analysis and concluded that absolutely nothing is wrong. My vehicle is perfectly fine with no engine head gasket issues whatsoever. Terrible experience. I’ll never bring my car here ever again. Stay away from this place.

Yes, we performed diagnosis on the check engine light that was on steady. Scanned for codes found. P2189 system too lean at idle bank 2 P2187 system too lean at idle bank 1. Watching live data confirmed both fuel trims are very lean. Sprayed PCV and watched fuel trims return to normal. Recommend replacing PCV. We also noted coolant leaks during our inspection and were given authorization to perform a cooling system pressure test. Inspect the cooling system for possible damage. Includes Pressure test. Started vehicle with scanner attached watching coolant temperatures. Allowed vehicle to run up to operating temp. Attempted to remove reservoir cap to inspect for exhaust gases. Could not remove the cap because the coolant was boiling over. Using a combustible gas leak detector we found the vehicle has combustible gases in the cooling system indicating failed head gaskets Vehicle never registered over 210F coolant temp during the test. Recommend replacing the engine. (video of the test sent to advisors). After first hand experience with the LR 3.0 overheat issues and concerns we have learned to recommend replacement of the engine instead of just heads or head gaskets.
