I rarely leave feedbacks, especially negative ones, but this time I simply cannot let it go. I also gave them 2 weeks to at least contact me, but nothing so far. So, this are the facts. I visited the shop because my 2012 Range Rover needed an alignment and I also had an original key fob to be recoded and an aftermarket one that I wanted to see if it was possible to be coded. They explained to me that in order to understand if the original key fob was programmable, they had to run a diagnostic ($264) on the key, and only then they would know if it was programmable. About the aftermarket key, they told me that they would not program it because it could brick the car. I left the car over there and Uber to work, after a few hours I was contacted and I was told that the key was locked and not programmable and that I had to buy a brand new key ($519) and that they needed me to sign all the documentation to order it. I Uber back to the shop, and after some talk I decided to slow down and to think about it, so I took my car and while in the parking lot I called a Locksmith and enquired if they actually performed recoding of keys in Range Rovers, we meet and in less than 2 minutes he recoded the key that was supposed to be locked and also he coded the aftermarket one without any problem. 2 minutes! I drove back to JC 4x4 and I explained what happened and asked to talk with the manager that, I was told, he was not available. I asked the front desk person to please bring my complain to him, but so far nothing. So at the end I paid $264 for the diagnostic + the Uber rides. The diagnostic was not performed properly and as a consequence I was told I needed a new key. I really felt I was not treated with honesty.
